Agricultural Machinery Trade Fair 2003 and the 7th
China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition
were successfully closed. The exhibits shown in
the fair last year were all highly praised on quality
and technology and were much better than those in
the year 2002. The visitors were also more specialized.
The overseas agricultural machinery manufacturers
and dealers were active to attend, visit and deal
with. The fair still kept its position of the largest
fair on scope not only in China, but also in Asia.
The detailed data for the last fair is as follows:
I. Exhibition Booth:
The exhibition area last
year were about 55,000 square meters, including
15,000 square meters inside and 40,000 square
meters outside We made the booths as follows:
Regarding the inside booths, there were 38 units
for T (Large area with special decoration), 1
unit for TG (Large area with special decoration),
6 units for G (special decoration), 220 units
for A (standard booth, 3 x 3 meters), 232 units
for M (standard booths, 3 x 2 meters), 552 units
for N (one desk, one chair for accessories)
The outside booths were 11 units for A (large
area and special decoration), 37 units for B (large
open area), 4 units for J (special decoration),
59 units for E ( 5x 2.7 meters), 477 units for
F (7 x 2.7 meters).
II. Exhibitors:
We received 1220 exhibitors
both from home and abroad. The overseas exhibitors
were 18 enterprises from 5 foreign countries.
For domestic market, there were 352 enterprises
from Jiangsu, 305 enterprises from Shangdong,
covered 51.6% of the total exhibitors. The other
exhibitors were 137 enterprises from Hebei, 98
enterprises from Henan, 96 enterprises from Zhejiang,
83 enterprises from Anhui, totally covered 33.9%
of the all exhibitors. Regarding the products,
123 exhibitors were tractor producers. 117 exhibitors
were tilling and cultivating equipment producers.
88 exhibitors were internal combustion engine
producers. 76 exhibitors were from farm machinery
(including combine harvesters). 56 exhibitors
were from agricultural side-production and grain
& oil processing machinery producers. 52 exhibitors
were from agricultural vehicle producers. 49 exhibitors
were from animal husbandry machinery producers.
39 exhibitors were from drainage and irrigation
equipment producers. 37 exhibitors were from plant
protection equipment producers.
III. Visitors On this Fair:
During this fair, we received
more than 100,000 visitors. The Chinese visitors
were all from agricultural machinery manufacturers,
dealers, visitors from farm markets, big farms,
grain and oil processing enterprises, large and
medium sized grain deport, seeds research and
breeding companies, agricultural machinery administrations,
inspection and distribution departments, agricultural
machinery science and research institutes, colleges
and etc. The overseas visitors were mainly from
Republic of Korea, Japan, Bangladesh, Pakistan,
Viet Nan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Democratic
People's Republic of Korea, India, the United
States of America, Germany, the United Kingdom,
France, Italy, Bulgaria and Taiwan region. The
agricultural machinery manufacturers were from
America, Italy, Japan, Korea and Taiwan region.
The representatives from Association of Equipment
Manufacturers, Beijing Office of Washington DC,
USA, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of France,
Japan Farm Machinery Manufacturer’s Association,
Korea Agricultural Machinery & Industry Cooperatiive
all attended this fair.
We invited visitors by
sending tickets directly to them and released
advertisements through 50 agricultural machinery
markets, 300 large agricultural machinery enterprises
and special medias.
The exact proportions on visitors during this
fair including international exhibition were 22%
from Shandong, 20% from Jiangsu, 17% from Anhui,
15% from Henan, 14% from Hebei, 12% from other
places.
IV. Other activities:
The 3rd China Agricultural
Machinery Forum in 2003 was held during the fair.
Around 300 attendance home and abroad attended
this forum. During the Forum, more than 10 agricultural
machinery specialists, entrepreneurs and government
officials home and abroad made deep and beneficial
discussions on China agricultural machinery situation,
development as well as international market for
agricultural machinery.
V. Sales volume
The total Sales volume
during the fair in 2003 was reached to RMB23 billion
yuan.

side-production processing equipment, grain &
oil processing equipment and attachment who attended
or didn’t attend the fair.
2. Dealer: The dealers from
agricultural machinery companies, agricultural machinery
