丰茂植保的前身是北京市植保机械厂，发展至今已有50年的历史。曾设计制造了我国第一台背负式喷雾喷粉机，并因此在1978年第一届科技大会上荣获科技进步二等奖。为寻求进一步发展，丰茂植保于2008年与西班牙菲迪公司、爱迪公司达成战略合作，专注于引入国际先进的果园全程机械化产品。
